Happy Halloween

This year Brinlee wanted to be a mermaid tickle witch! Really she just wanted to wear the mermaid custom and the witch hat, but she didn't want to be a scary witch so she told me she was a tickle witch. Sad to say we dressed Madi up as a pumpkin but the pictures are on another camera. (she was cute though- my camera died that night! :( ! )

Sorry guys that it has been a while since i have updated. Things have been a bit crazy. Things are going good and everybody is healthy and good. The only down side is that Madison still doesn't sleep through the night and Brinley is having a little bit if a hard time now that she knows what it means to have a sister. Guns VS Hoses

Yesterday Brin and my Family and I attended a Charity Event hosted by the Police and Fire dept. It was Guns VS Hoses. Bud played for the Hoses Team. The Game was alot of fun even Brinley enjoyed herself.

Bud assisted in one the GOALS! unfortunately the Hoses Teams lost, but we all had alot of fun and they were able to raise alot of money for Charity.

Today I woke up early all excited and ready to go to my Favorite store Rod Works. I had it all planned out what I was going to get. I had made a project on doing my windows down stairs in my main living area. I had it all designed in my head and had seen it done in rod works store as a display. I was sure it would work and that I would love it!

Well guys I need your help! Tell me what you think about my window design. (honest).

I am not sold on it and was really disappointed. I was so excited and sure it would work.

This is the second time I have tried to do something w/my windows. Early I had longer drapes two panels on each window about the same color and some tie backs. Again I wasn't sold on them. So I changed it and still not loving it.

So I know what you all are thinking she is crazy and is reading way to much into her decorating. Yes I probably am but it is so important to me for some reason and I love it.

This next short story is about how after my disappointing attempt down stairs I thought (well at least I have my super cute vinyl lettering to put up.) I was all excited again. I had looked long and hard for a saying that was unique.

Well the picture says it all.

It didn't go so well and I completely killed my Husband's paint job. I was pretty much in tears and told my husband that I needed a bath. I kid you not at first my jets in my tub wouldn't turn in. I totally about freak out, but no worries they where just a little delayed this time.

My Sweet Husband let me take my Bath and while I was soaking my Blues away he and Brinley drove to Ogden to one of his jobs and got his spackle and spackled my mishap so I wouldn't have to look at it all day tomorrow. Stopped and got me some Flowers!

The Funniest thing happen over Conference Weekend.

The Saturday Morning Session was about to start and I told Brinley "Go get the things you want while we watch Conference." Mean while I ran down stairs to get my ice water and while I was down I heard a dragging across the floor up stairs so when I got back to my room I found this...

Brinley had got her old Bouncer out of her closet and dragged it to my room and found the bag of chips and got her drink from her room and was sitting there waiting!

I couldn't believe it and wasn't like I was gone for 10 minutes it was like 3 minutes! She was so fast and knew exactly what she wanted.

I hope that you guys don't mind if I brag for a minute, but I am so proud of myself. I have been trying to up my speed at running for about 6 months now.

These Beauties today helped me completed 4 miles in 26 minutes! yeh... for me !

To break that down I ran two 6 minute miles and two 7 minute miles!

We are almost Finished!

The rock is up on the exterior, paint will be finished tomorrow. (exterior)

We finally finished our Tile and Finish work.

Tonight we started the paint inside. I am getting more and more excited.

It is so neat to see everything come together.

Our kitchen and bathroom cabinets will be installed on Wednesday.YAY...

We will be closing OCt. 1st if everything keeps on schedule!

Yesterday they poured our drive way.

Brinley really enjoyed it as you can see; She loved running up and down it.

Just as a note the exterior hasn't been painted yet neither the dry stack rock up; Hopefully they start it on Friday.

So it was a really big ordeal tonight on deciding which way to lay the tile. We went back and forth on laying it straight or diagonal, really guys it was a tuff choice. we even had to call Jason and Lindi for their opion. (Cause if they like it we know it's good!)

Well we went w/diagonal; And so far we love it.

So guys this picture I was totally scared for my face and fingers! The pump that pumps the water to the saw was NOT workin so I had to hold the tube so the water would be sucked up while Dan cut the tile! ooooh, ahhhhh

Look at all are hard work that we did tonight! (It really is alot; that is about 3hrs of tiling. We ran into alot a snags before we could even start.) We finished the kitchen and somewhat of the hall way.

This last Monday the Paskett Family lost their Mom and Wife. She is loved by many and I am honored that I got to know her and am grateful for the daughter's and son that her and her husband raised, Laura has been an example and great friend to me. I love her very much and am thankful for her friendship i want her and her family to know how much I love them and that I know that we will see Marjory again. I know it with my whole heart and that Heavenly Father has a plan, He loves and knows each of us.

Burnt Church Ranch

Well this last week has been filled with alot of mix emotions for many reason's.

For my Higgins Family we have loved going to grandma and grandpa's Ranch in Idaho!

Last Saturday it sold! We understand the reason's that they needed to sell but we really are going to miss it!

We use to set up a slip and slide in the summer on this hill and also sledding in the winter.
Our favorite thing 4 wheeling ; lots of fun and crazy stories w/those!
Grandma's Hammock. She had to replace the rope three times cuz us grand kids were way to hard on it.
We love the Horse and they love apple's, We will miss them, Brinley probably not so much. She was pretty scared of them.

The road trip to grandma and grandpa's
The Devil's Hand; When we saw the devil's hand we all knew we where almost their just 5 more minutes and we would be there.
This is the sign that sits in front of the Ranch. The reason for the burnt part is that this property use to be a stake center and they where really excited to turn a church house into a family get away place well they accidentally burnt it down!

So after that they built two houses and many garages and work shops on the property, they named it the Burnt Church Ranch.

We LOVE and will miss the Ranch and am thankful for all the memory's that we where able to make their!

For Family Home Evening this week we decided to go to a water park, cause Brinley is such a water bug.

These first pictures and one in between is us going down the Lazy River. Brin loved the River.

Now this is relaxing!

We played on the slides for an hour and she probably could of stayed another hour she got so brave that she would go down by her self!

Uncle Bud even really enjoyed the kids play area, as you can see they are playing in the fountain.

Brin totally loves to run and jump into the balls. (it keeps her attention for 45 minutes; I asked dan if we should stock up.) We love the Ball pit!

Here we are the Higgins Fam! We went to the Syracuse Fire station to take a few family pictures. Up on top is a picture of Brinley sitting in the front seat. She loves the fire trucks. Everytime Bud gets called out she'll start making a sound like the siren. Its hilarious.

Happy Birthday Brinley I know its a little bit late but we had tons of fun with this. We celebrated Brinley's first birthday last month. She's already turned one. The time has been flying by. Check out my mad skills with the birthday cake. I know most of you think it was made by my mother in law but no way..... it was me and my mad frosting skills......PS thanks for the help Jessie!!! The eyes look great! I just want to give a shout out to all my peeps. Thanks for all the support on Brinley's birthday..... And for swallowing my cake even though it looked really good to eat! Oh yes and all you Canadian family members be sure to check out the bib! Its hard to see but its got Canada written all over it!
